Course Overview
The CCTV Operator Course is designed to equip new CCTV (PSS) Operators with the full understanding, knowledge and practical experience required to work as a licensed security control room operative. We will provide you with everything you need to achieve the high standards and BTEC Level 2 accreditation, required by the Security Industry Authority (SIA) in order to grant you your SIA License.
This course covers two units which make up the programme across the 4 days. Unit 1 is Working in the Private Security Industry, Unit 2 is Working as a CCTV Operator. Following on from this is the practical assessment. See the below tabs for a detailed breakdown.
The CCTV (PSS) course covers everything from the legal aspects of CCTV, the roles and responsibilities required of CCTV staff as well as practical `hands-on` use of CCTV equipment and its operation. If you are looking to be employed as a CCTV Operator in local authorities/councils, commercial businesses, hotels, shopping centres, festivals, stadiums, construction sites etc. this is the course for you.
The course carries a BTEC Level 2 Award – a respected qualification for anyone seeking career opportunities in the electronic security sector. By holding this qualification, you demonstrate to your clients and colleagues you have proven skills as a CCTV operator.
Please note, delegates will need to register for the course one month before the course starts. We cannot accept delegates onto the course past the registration date.
