Course Overview
The CCTV Control Room Refresher course is essential for all individuals who have already completed the SIA training and who want to keep up to date with the ever-changing issues affecting public space surveillance. This refresher will review the legislation, the latest surveillance cameras codes of practice and the topical challenges facing control room staff.
Delivered online this training is completely flexible and can be completed at your own pace. You will cover the fundamentals of the Data Protection act 2018 and GDPR, control room communications, and CCTV surveillance techniques to name a few. This course is delivered through Tavcom Training’s bespoke online learning platform, and can be completed in one day with the backing of your own specialist support tutor (should you require it) and comes with formal CPD points upon completion.
With this course, learners have the option to choose a non-accredited route at a reduced cost if they wish to do so. Those that choose the non-accredited route will receive a Tavcom Certificate upon successful completion. Learners can purchase the non-accredited course here.

How will I study this course?
The course contains 1 module and one online examination culminating in approximately 10 hours of study. You will be required to pass the examination in order to obtain the BTEC Level 2 qualification.
