Course Overview
TSCM Training Understanding the Principles of Technical Surveillance Countermeasures
In the increasingly competitive culture of the modern business world, many organisations resort to sophisticated eavesdropping techniques to uncover their rivals’ new products, financial positions and other corporate secrets.
The aim of this two-day course (formerly known as Electronic Countermeasures) is to provide delegates with the ability to understand and carry out basic physical TSCM surveys. By understanding the principles of TSCM, delegates will be able to conduct interim or very short notice searches of sensitive areas, in support of a wider counter-espionage strategy.
This classroom-based course will lead delegates through the physical and technical countermeasures survey process, covering topics such as evaluating the threat, producing a survey, conducting a physical and basic electronic inspection, as well as producing a report complete with recommendations for improving information security. The training has a ‘hands-on’ focus and involves a number of practical scenarios based within an office environment.
The programme is designed for those involved with security and TSCM operations, and is suitable for anyone with the responsibility for securing sensitive sites or information, conducting physical TSCM surveys within their organisation and personnel tasked with employing the services of a third party to conduct TSCM surveys on their behalf. Typical delegates include: Security Managers, Controller, Guards, FM Managers, Close Protection Officers, and In-House Security Personnel.
The course carries a BTEC Level 3 Award – a respected qualification for anyone seeking career opportunities in the electronic security sector. By holding this qualification, you demonstrate to your clients and colleagues you have advanced skills in training and understanding the principles of Technical Surveillance Countermeasures.
