Knowledge Transfer Partnership Success

We are pleased to welcome Peter Taylor as a permanent member of the Tavcom team.

Peter originally came to work for Tavcom in 2015 as a result of the Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) initiative. This is a three-way partnership involving a graduate, an employer and either a university, research organisation or further education institution.

Tavcom was delighted to have the opportunity to join businesses such as Unilever and Rolls Royce, who have capitalised on the benefits of KTP. It is one of the largest graduate recruitment programmes across the UK that has been embraced by over 3,000 organisations from micro-sized, to large businesses.

Peter joined us as an Associate of Southampton Solent University and during an initial one year contract, we were able to benefit from his graphic design, software development and computer programming skills.

Tavcom provides students with a choice of how they can acquire accredited, career enhancing qualifications. Our online e-learning courses are intended to offer a practical alternative to traditional classroom style courses, allowing students to acquire new skill sets without any disruption to their day-to-day working life.

Going forward, Peter will play an important role in helping us take advantage of the latest web tools, including interactive video, which will ensure that Tavcom keeps to its commitment to continually evaluate and improve how we can assist students add to the knowledge and skills sets.
